Susan earned her Masters degree in Psychology, with a Professional
Counseling Specialty from The Georgia School of Professional Psychology, and
a BBA, Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan
University. Susan's counseling experience includes various settings
including group and individual psychotherapy at one of Atlanta's leading
recovery programs, Northside Hospital Recovery Center. She also provided
counseling to homeless clients through The Jewish Family & Career Services
outreach program. Before her career as a counselor, Susan created solutions
that supported businesses in achieving their goals. During her 13 years in
the corporate world, she was recognized for her relationship and team
building skills.
Susan counsels with women, men, couples, and young adults (over 18), GLB
friendly. She currently co-leads a monthly discussion group,
Women’s Wisdom , with Reverend Mary
Bolen. Susan has been an active Unity church member since 1986 and she
served on the UCC Board of Trustees for 3 years.
Susan’s counseling style is warm, empathic and
interactive. Her counseling orientation is integrative as she attends to
the body, mind, spirit and emotions and the rich information they each can
provide. Susan’s intention is to support clients in knowing themselves
more deeply so that they can live life from an empowered, authentic place.
She specializes in helping clients identify unhealthy
patterns that keep repeating in their lives. Through the counseling
process, the source of these patterns can be discovered and healing can
begin.
